I have made desk plaques from several materials and for NISSAN I used TREX deck material.
I can carve almost any font but TT true text works best.
I can also carve almost any company logo.

The material I am using is TREX decking that you would use for building your backyard deck.

After my deck was built there were lots of small pieces not used so I tried carving it.

After "V" carving the text I paint then after the paint dries I plane the top to remove access paint and leave the text.

I was asked to make the slot a little larger for business cards.

Sequence of operation,
1 ~ Search for text font, design, style, location and depth.
2 ~ Save design file to flash drive, find material and mount to CNC.
3 ~ Machine top flat "text area".
4 ~ Engrave text 90° V bit 0.020 deeper.
5 ~ Paint text, wait for paint to completly dry ? 24 hours
6 Machine top text surface area at 0.020
7 Machine business card slot.
8 Remove, flip over and machine tapered back at 0.460
9 Remove and machine bottom angle

If there is a logo involved in the design that will be more design time and of course cut time.
